Riley Challenge #0614
I created this card for the Riley birthday challenge. This Riley "Learn a lesson from your dog" sentiment cracks me up, and I know that it's not appropriate for everyone - but funny still. I used a Tempting Turquoise Stampin' Write Marker to doodle around the edges of the sentiment. I used Karen Burniston's Accordion Fancy Label for the base & Fancy Frame Edges to cut the patterned paper around the edges. The dog bones are a Sizzix die.
I cut 3 panels from Early Espresso & used the companion dies (included in the set) to cut Real Red & Tempting Turquoise matching shapes- I also used a Chevron embossing folder to add some texture to the Tempting Turquoise where you see Riley "Dog Walker". I colored Riley with Watercolor Pencils & a Blender Pen, then fussy cut him & added him to the panel with Dimensionals.
I alternated using the scallop edge & straight edge Fancy Frame Edges.
The sentiment on the last panel is from a Riley set called Moose Sayings 2 & I love how many different birthday sentiments are in the set. I doodled around this sentiment with a Stampin' Write Marker just like I did on the front panel.
And a final close up of the center panel. I had fun making this card & thanks to Riley for having the challenge.
