Crazy 4 Challenges - Sketch

It's the 3rd Saturday of the month and that means it's Sketch time with the Crazy 4 Challenges Design Team.  I love Halloween!  It was so easy to follow the sketch and use Karen Burniston's new Halloween dies!  Using the Bats Stencil was so easy and I love all those bats.  I also used the spider & web from Halloween Scene.  The sentiment is from Halloween Clear Stamp set and I die cut it on a pumpkin from Halloween Charms.
On the inside, I used Halloween Scene but made the graveyard a bit longer by stopping the cutting pad short.  To hide the spot where I extended it, I added a raven & the spooky tree.
Happy Stampin',

Pokemon Twist Circle Pop Up

I made this card for my son's friend's birthday who is a Pokemon fan.  The front of the card was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest.  I inserted the Pikachu image into a Word document so I could type in the attack information and personalize it.  I added 9 candles from Cake Pop Up so he'd have some candles to blow out.
I used the new Twist Circle Pop Up for the Pokeball.  My son liked this card so much that he wanted to make one himself and requested that I make him one for his birthday next month!
It was such a fun and easy card to make and all the kids loved it!  I used a smaller circle included in the Twist Circle Pop Up, Flower Pot (black band across the middle), 3/4" and 1/2" circle punches.

Happy Stampin',

Hot Air Balloon Pop Up

I loved Summer's Hot Air Balloon shaker tutorial on the Elizabeth Craft Designs' blog so much that I wanted to give it a try.
I swayed from Summer's tutorial just a bit but not cutting out the center portion of the balloon.  I wanted to show the new Through the Lens Metal paper off!  I die cut the TTL paper and foam using the accent die.  I took a piece of acetate and adhered it to the back of the TTL paper then adhered the foam to that to form my shaker.  Next I filled it up with beads and then placed the larger part of the balloon on top of the stack.
I cut out the license plate from the TTL stack and stamped my sentiment on the balloon.  A very understated but tasteful masculine card.

Happy Stampin',

Crazy 4 Challenges - Purple Day

The Crazy 4 Challenges team was challenged to make a purple card.  This was an easy challenge for me - make a purple card!
I was gifted this fun paper and thought this is perfect for my purple challenge.  I used the frame die from Hanging Charm Pull Tab to accent my stamped sentiment.  I used Stampin' Write Markers to color directly onto the Delightful Dozen stamp to get lots of colors.
I transformed the Cake Pop Up into lots of presents!  The little present on the top is from Evergreen Pivot Card.  I used the bow on all the boxes and to get the ribbon portion longer, I stopped the cutting pad short so I could get a longer length.  I used the Pull Card Edges to create the circle above the presents.

Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Crazy 4 Challenges - Sketch

It's the 3rd Saturday of the month and that means it's sketch time with Crazy 4 Challenges Design Team!  What a fab sketch!  I found this stamp in my stash so all I needed was a circle to stamp it on.  I kept the die on the card stock and traced around the die to create a Real Red border.  Add a few rhinestones for bling.  The rick-rac was made using Karen Burniston's new scallop die from the Pull Card Edges.

I made this card for a co-worker's birthday who loves red and has 2 Bearded Dragons.  Aren't they adorable?  I used the Pull Card Edges to make the semi-circle polka dot pieces for the inside.  For the base card, I used Happy Birthday Pop Up and glittered it up with True Red and Teal Silk Microfine Glitter.
I stamped the lizards onto 85lb Soft Finish Card stock and colored them using alcohol based markers and fussy cut them out.

Maria, my co-worker, loved her card!

Happy Stampin',
