Halloween House Pop N Cut

Wow am I loving this Square Ornate Base to use with my Pop N Cuts, why did I ever wait so long to call it my own?  I LOVE this card & have sent it off to my BF Heidi, so Heidi I hope you enjoyed it as much as I do.  The stamp set is called That's the Ticket & I punched it out with the Ticket punch.  The spider & her web are a Sizzix die I recently acquired (yes I love dies, don't know what I would do without them).  AND not to mention the spider is cut from sparkly paper!  I coiled some wire for the spider so it giggles.  How did I coil the wire, well I wrapped a couple inches around my paper piercer & then used glue dots & 3/4" circle punch to adhere it to the spider.

Awesome right?  I used the House PNC insert & coordinating framelit set to decorate the house.  The bat is a Sizzlit strip, spider is a die cut, little spider & web is a punch, the moon is 1" circle punch, door knob is a Neutrals Candy Dot.  After cutting out the house I embossed it & then left the die on & sponged Baked Brown Sugar over the open areas to really accentuate the embossing.  I cut the pattern paper just like Karen did on her latest Designer post, by die cutting the decorative edge again (each side alone so I didn't cut the roof off) to make it shorter so the black will show all around the edges - love that touch thanks to Karen for that fab tip.  I had SO much fun making this one, I made several more......stay tuned for more to come.

Paper Shoes

My Mom couldn't wait to show me the shoes she made, wow aren't they great?  I really like this Halloween one, I don't think it's my size though LOL.  I don't know where she found the pattern, but she said she cut it all by hand.  If anyone is interested in finding out how to make these, comment & I'll ask her.

Here's the everyday victorian style, there's even little sparkly trim all around the shoe.

Pop N Cut Sassy Suzy

I could say I had some pink out for breast cancer month, but I had the neighborhood girls over making cards....and what's the color of choice?  PINK!  This is what I chose to make with mine, a friend for a card that when I saw this sentiment is was meant for her.  The stamp set is a retired set called Sassy Suzy.  I used the Square w/ Ornate Edge PNC base, that pretty scroll comes right on the die.
I found the sentiment when I went to a local scrap expo, it's just too funny that I couldn't pass it up.  I used the circle insert from the Standard A2 base and Banner & Borders also from Karen Burniston's new Snippets collection.  Couldn't you just see those wonderful swirls used on a winter card?  I know I can,......now I should start making it.

Wedding Keepsake

A friend was attending a wedding & asked if I could make the bride & groom a keepsake.....it turned out really pretty....but taking a photo was more of a challenge than making the actual project.  The wedding is being held on the beach, so the burlap & shells fit perfectly.  I got a shadow box, put the burlap down, then the pattern paper & their wedding invitation.  I used real shells, little flowers, coral & some crystal looking sprigs I found in the bridal dept of a craft store.

Pop N Cut Square Ornate Edge base

I used the Pop N Cuts Square Ornate Edge base for this card, along with the Dress Form Framelits from Karen Burniston only available through Stampin Up.  The sentiment is cut using Karen's Banners & Borders Framelits using a retired stamp set.
WOW look at that bird!  Lucky for me that bird was already on the paper & I cut the PNC to have him just above the Sassy Label insert.  I used the Stitched Sassy Label to make those wonderful stitches, what's so nice about the set is that you can choose to have the stitches or no stitches.  So there you have it a simple but elegant quick card.

Pop N Cut monkey

I had a left over kit from my last month's stamp camp so I decided to re-purpose the pieces to create something totally different that it's original purpose.  I made a Pop N Cut, what a surprise right?  I used the Peekaboo Frames to showcase my monkey.  The balloons are the small oval punch covered with Crystal Effects (I need to perfect the application I know).

I used the circle insert from the standard A2 PNC base along with Stitched Circles & Labels Framelits and Chevron Border.  I stamped the balloons twice & added dimensionals then Crystal Effects (looks much better here).  What a cute card, don't you think?

Pop N Cut Clear Creations

I have the honor again to be included in Karen Burniston's Designer Challenge "Clear Creations".  The challenge was to create a Pop N Cut from clear material, so it appears that the pop up is appears to be suspended mid air.  I chose to use the PNC Square Ornate Edge Base, Banner & Borders die, Berry Swirls embossing folder and Stampin Up host set called Warmth & Wonder from the Holiday Mini.  I stamped the image in Versamark & then applied silver embossing powder.  The DSP is retired from last year, I also used Real Red, Chocolate Chip & Old Olive, the pearls are the jumbo colored red with a Sharpie.  My ruffle was created with crepe paper, yep the streamer kind that you hang up for parties.  To color the crepe I swiped it with my Encore Silver ink pad & then stamped several snowflakes randomly.
I love the decorative edge scroll that comes with the Square Ornate Base....isn't that pretty?  The Pop N Cut insert I used is called Sassy Label 3-D to cut my acetate.  To get that wonderful silver embossed edge around the Sassy Label & Stitched Frame, I cut the frame first with the die that cuts, swiped it with Embossin Buddy, then I dabbed the stitching frame into my Encore Silver Pigment ink so that the side with the stitch marks were all covered with ink, then put that on top of the white die cut & ran it through the Big Shot, then applied silver EP and heat set.  The snowflakes are a retired Sizzlit Strip called Northern Frost.....why that was retired I'll never know because it has so many different wonderful snowflakes all on one die.
Here's a close up of the pop up.

The trees were stamped with Old Olive & the little dots embossed with silver EP, then I added the little pearls.  I dipped the edges of my snowflakes in Encore Silver & then sprinkled with silver EP.  The stars were a great find at a local scrapbook convention.
Karen has created such wonderful & fun dies.  You can purchase her Stampin Up Pop N Cuts through my online store.

Pop N Cut Snippets

Here's another card I made using Karen Burniston's new Snippets Collection.  Sit back & relax while I tell you all the wonderful products I've used.......Berry Swirls & Trellis #2 embossing folders, Labels & Stitched Frames and Circle Labels Stitched Framelits, Gift Card Holder, Multi-Tier 3-D Pop N Cut insert.  The butterflies are from Stampin Up's Beautiful Wings Embosslit.  I used a circle die to cut out the center of the Label & used the circle stitching die from the Stitched Circle & Label Framelits - I know it's hard to see it.

On the inside I've used retired DSP, Flagpole & Banner Sizzlit and the Beautiful Wings Embosslit again.  I die cut the center out of the pop up & put acetate in the middle & glued the butterfly to it.  All of my butterflies had to have glitter & rhinestones of course LOL.
This card was sent to a very special gal (Karen I hope you got this in the mail by now).....thanks again for all your wonderful Snippets.

Happy Stamping,

Regarding Dahlias

My colors are Bermuda Bay, Pumpkin Pie & Island Indigo.  I stamped the main image from Regarding Dahlias with Versamark & embossed with black EP onto a Window Frames die cut.  I colored the flower in with Stampin Write Markers, paper pierced around the edges using the Paper Piercing Pack Essentials.  The sentiment is a retired host set called Swirls & Curls Verses.  I added white twine to a button, putting the bow on the back.....I've seen this done so many times and I think I should've added more twine as the others look much more full.  The size of this card is 5 x 5 & I am hoping to use the Envelope Punch Board to make a pretty envelope to match.

Pop N Cuts Snippets Collection

raquelmason.stampinup.net
Here's a card I made using some fabulous products from Karen Burniston's new Snippets collection.  I've used the Label Trellis Sizzlit for the trim, cutting in 2 different colors & putting the little mosaic pieces in for a great color combo.  The stamp set is Chalk Talk, DSP is Sycamore Street (retired SAB), I've also used Tangerine Tango, Summer Starfruit and Not Quite Navy.
For the Pop N Cut insert, I chose Sassy Label and it has a matching Framelit set called Sassy Label & Stitched Frames that make that wonderful stitching on the die cut.  A wonderful feature with that set is that you can choose if you want the stitching or not, as it's a seperate Framelit that makes the stitching.  The trim on the inside is the same as the front, except that I cut the width in half.  I used the matching Chalk Talk Framelit set to cut out the sentiment.  I colored in the stamp with Stampin Write Markers to get the different colors.
What a fun collection, keep a sharp eye out for more "Snippets" coming soon.
