Crazy 4 Challenges - place of joy

The Crazy 4 Challenges Design Team was challenged to make a card that represents our place of joy - my home.  I used Karen Burniston's House Pivot card, Outdoor Edges, and All Seasons Tree (clouds).  I stamped and fussy cut the trees from Stampin' Up!'s Vertical Greetings to make my card.
I added lots of clouds because it's a beautiful sunny day in South Florida.  I used a Pacific Point Stampin' Write Marker to color in little flowers on the stamped foliage.
Happy Stampin',

Special Birthday Wish!

It was Karen Burniston's birthday last week and I made this card especially for her.  I hope she had an amazing birthday!  Lucky the Rabbit decided there should be carrots instead of candles on top of the Cake Pop Up.
I used Happy Birthday Pop Up for the inside of my card along with Agatha Edges, Evergreen Pivot (present), and Accordion Rectangle.  The stamped sentiments are from Karen's clear stamp set called Lucky Birthday.
Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Karen Burniston July Designer Challenge - Stretch it out

It's time for Karen Burniston's Designer Challenge - Stretch it out!  The team was challenged to use an Accordion die for any theme and to stretch it out well....just like the title says.
I used the Accordion Rectangle with Butterfly Pivot dies.  Yes, only 2 dies made this card!  I cut 3 Accordion Rectangle panels in purple, 2 in pattern paper and 1 in Very Vanilla.  I stamped the sentiment from the clear stamp set What's Up? onto the rectangle that's included in the Accordion Rectangle.  The butterfly body is a mix of White and Basic Black Silk Microfine Glitter.
I die cut 2 sets of Butterfly Pivots and cut off the butterflies so all I had was the pivoting areas.  To adhere the butterflies to the card base, I notched the middle butterfly so it would have more dimension and move freely.  I adhered the butterfly to the last panel first and then worked my way to the front to make sure it would all fold flat.
I just love the colors - purple is my favorite color!  I hope you have enjoyed my project and don't forget to check out Karen's blog tomorrow where she will have a video tutorial.

Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Crazy 4 Challenges - Picnic

It's national hot dog month.  So in honor of said hot dog, the Crazy 4 Challenges team was challenged to have a picnic "Connection".  I thought it would be fun to have Jinks the Monkey grilling bananas.
I used Lots of Pops to animate Jinks on the inside.  The sun is a decorator die in the Oval Pull Card die set.  Jinks even has a basket full of bananas ready for the eatin'.
Happy Stampin',

Pop N Cuts Dress Form

I made this card for a co-worker and his future fiance.  He's got an elaborate "Pop the question" plan in the works.  Best of luck to you both!  EDITED: She said yes!
I used Labels & Stitched Frames from the Pop N Cuts and Wedding Charms from Pop It Ups - both designed by Karen Burniston.  To add a little bit of bling to the ring, I adhered Transparent Double Sided Adhesive Sheet to white cardstock and covered it with Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter.  I used the Envelope Punch Board to make a coordinating envelope too.
I used the Dress Form and Dress Up Framelits to decorate the "Wedding dress" using the lace and Silk Microfine Glitter techinque.  Add a few rhinestones and pearls.....dressed up to perfection.  I added a Stitched Frame and champagne glasses for my co-worker to write his message.
Happy Stampin',
Raquel
