Karen Burniston March Designer Challenge

For this month's Karen Burniston Designer Challenge we could use any die to make a Spring or Easter themed project, so I chose the Accordion Fancy Label to make an Easter card.  I used Egg shaped Peel-Off Stickers from Elizabeth Craft for my images.  I adhered Double Sided Adhesive to Whisper White then die cut using one of the dies included in the Accordion Fancy Label set.  I then removed the backing from the adhesive sheet & now I have sticky Whisper White to apply my Egg Peel-Off Stickers to. Next I covered it with Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter.  I colored the images using Spectrum Noir alcohol based markers.  To get the purple line around the die cut, I put the die back onto the Whisper White die cut & traced around the inside edge with my marker.  I cut 4 Fancy Frame Edges & embossed them with Karen Burniston's Label Circle embossing folder.  To hide the seams I used Turquoise/Silver Glitter Stickers.

For the first inside panel I used the scallop edge die from the Fancy Frame Edges.  For the center panel I used yet another edge die in the Fancy Frame Edges set - I love that I have 3 different choices in this set!  To create the bright pink frame in the center panel, I nested 2 different sizes of Accordion Fancy Labels and die cut them at the same time.  The image is from Stampin' Up's Sale-A-Bration catalog called You're Lovely and the clever thing with this stamp set is that the matching Framelit is also from Karen Burniston.  The sentiment is from Delightful Dozen stamped with Strawberry Slush Classic Ink Pad & I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the sentiment perfectly.

Here's a close up of the 2 panels.  I traced around the edges of the image with a blender pen & Strawberry Slush Classic Ink, I didn't have that color marker so I picked up the color directly from the ink pad with my Blender Pen & traced around the edges, it gave me just the right amount of ink I needed.

To lift off the negative image left on my Peel-Off Stickers sheet, I used a Transfer Sheet to pick up all those little pieces up.  To use a Transfer Sheet, cut a smaller piece off from the Transfer Sheet to make it easier to work with.  The Transfer Sheet is sticky so when you put it over the Peel-Off Sticker & rub over the image with a bone folder it will stick temporarily to the Transfer Sheet -this is what you see in the picture above.  Now you can transfer the image onto your die cut that already has the adhesive sheet on it by rubbing over the image with your bone folder.  I did this process for both of the eggs on my last panel.

Here I have all my Egg Peel-Off Stickers onto my glittered Whisper White awaiting to be die cut & colored.  You can watch Els do this technique Silk Microfine Glitter coloring with Alcohol Markers.
