Karen Burniston Designer Challenge - Party Animals

It's time to party with Karen Burniston's Designer Challenge!  The Party Animals theme was set by Sandy Diller.  I got the idea for this card from a card that I had received for my birthday.  The card had a bunch of wacky bananas on the front that said "Go bananas, it's your birthday!"  I knew I wanted to use the Bananas embossing folder along with Jinks for this challenge.
The Oval Pull Card along, Pull Card Edges and Jinks are the main dies I used to make this wacky card.  I thought it would be more fun to have Jinks upside down because he's wacky like that.
When you open the card, you see all of Jinks and the sentiment.  I used a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to selectively ink the parts of Just a Note and Lucky Birthday.
Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Karen Burniston Designer Challenge - All I want for Christmas

The theme for the Karen Burniston Designer Challenge is "All I want for Christmas" in the world of Pop it Ups.  So if I didn't already have all of the Pop it Ups dies, what die would I want or what die is my favorite?  Lorna Label is definitely one of my favorite dies as it's so versatile.
I kept the front simple with a stamped greeting and I traced around the die cut with markers.  I used liquid glue under the ribbon and to my surprise it shows the glue marks.......so enter the button and I think I might need to add another little something to cover the other little splotches.😏
Here's one of my favorite characters, Rocky the Crab, sitting on the Adirondack Chair for his Florida Christmas!  Where else can Rocky go on Christmas but the beach?  He's all set with his santa hat, beard and mustache courtesy of Props 5.
From the side you can see how Rocky fits perfectly into the chair; I added a little bit of glue to his top legs only and adhered it to the legs of the chair.
Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Crazy 4 Challenges - Favorite sketch 2016

Decorate a card using your favorite "Crazy" sketch from our Crazy 4 Challenges 2016 sketches.  I chose C4C323 as to showcase the fun pattern in the Candy Cane Lane DSP from Stampin' Up!.  I stamped the sentiment from Suite Seasons onto a stitched circle.  I also added a cute peppermint lollypop.
I used Early Espresso and Real Red Stampin' Write Markers to make the dual color sentiment.
Happy Stampin',
Raquel
