Crazy 4 Challenges - In a name

It's time for the "In a name" themed challenge with Crazy 4 Challenges!  The team is to use our initials to make a card using dies or stamps that start with our letters.  I am using Rectangle Pull Card from Karen Burniston and Stampin' Up!'s Marquee Messages stamp set.
I used the decorative circles from Twist Circle Pop Up to decorate the corners and center of my card.  I also used the flowers from Flower Pot Pop Stand - they were sponged just a bit for more color.
I added the little spinner on the inside of my card to showcase some more flowers.  To decorate the edges of my card, I used Pull Card Edges.
Here's a view of how the card looks as you're opening it.  It's so fun to see the little spinner pop up - like a little flowery surprise!

Happy Stampin',

Karen Burniston 2nd October challenge - Boy oh Boy!

It's time for Karen Burniston's Designer Challenge with Summer setting the "Boy oh Boy" themed challenge!  I like finding different ways to use my dies and I think the soccer ball from the Sports Charms is a perfect die for that.  I inlaid the detail layer for the background of my card - they're almost remind me of the game jacks.  I stamped the sentiment from Occasions Clear Stamp then added a monster sticker from my stash and you've got the perfect boy card.
On the inside I used Twist Circle Pop Up.  What I noticed is the die included in the set has the perfect shape to match this other sticker that I found in my stash.  Basically I used the inside of the decorative ring to stamp my sentiment on....once again another use for the die.  I inlaid some more of the soccer balls on the inside of the card.  Tip: use Clear Double Sided Adhesive tape for the easiest way to inlay the soccer balls.  I die cut the soccer balls first and then applied the tape over the entire piece.  Doing this will help all the little pieces between the soccer balls to adhere and not lift up.
Here's a side view of how the card looks when you're opening it.  It's so cool how the circles twist upright upon opening the card.
So much fun!
Don't forget to visit Karen's blog tomorrow to watch her new video and see what the entire team created!

Happy Stampin',

Crazy 4 Challenges - Bees or Bugs

It's time for a bees or bugs challenge with Crazy 4 Challenges!  I decided to use butterflies and ladybugs with the new Twist Circle Panel Card Karen Burniston made.  I kept the front of my card fairly simple as all the magic happens on the inside.  The only die I used was Karen's Twist Circle Pop Up die !  Amazing right?  Yes friends, only 1 die was used in the making of this card!
I followed Karen's instructions here.  The bees & butterflies are a peel-off sticker from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  I applied the peel-off stickers to white card stock that has Clear Double Sided Adhesive already applied, then covered it with Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter.  I colored the bugs with alcohol markers because it will dry quicker.  I stamped each panel using stamps from Stampin' Up!'s Remembering Your Birthday.

Happy Stampin',

Crazy 4 Challenges - Sketch

It's the third Saturday of the month and that means it's sketch time with Crazy 4 Challenges.  I enjoyed coloring this fun image using colored pencils.  I used Stampin' Up!'s Layering Squares dies to follow along with the sketch.
I used one of my very favorite Karen Burniston dies called Lorna Label for the inside of my card.  The little bump on the bottom was the perfect place to add another stamped image.  The sentiment is from a retired Stampin' Up! stamp set called Sassy Suzie.
