Crazy 4 Challenges - Owls

Frances set the challenge today with Crazy 4 Challenges by having the team create a birthday card with an owl on it.  I found the perfect paper in my stash for this challenge.  I die cut a few circles from Karen Burniston's Twist Circle Pop Up and stamped the sentiment using Stampin' Up!'s Birthday Blooms stamp set.
I used the Twist Circle Pop Up for the base card.....and here you can see the circle popping up as the card opens.
In the photo, the card is almost open completely.  You can see Poppy the Owl sitting on a branch from Halloween Scene.  Poppy's party hat comes from Props 2....it matches the paper so well don't you think?
And here's the card completely open.  The Twist Circle Pop Up is such a fun die to create with!  I stamped the sentiment using Stampin' Up!'s Suite Sentiments stamp set.  I sponged a little bit of ink on Poppy.
Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Lovely Amazing You

Here's a quick card I made for a special someone who gave me these card blanks.
I used the baby wipe technique to stamp the feathers from the stamp set called Lovely Amazing You onto Very Vanilla die cut from Apothecary Accents.  I added Karen Burniston's Poppy the Owl holding a little red envelope.  To make the envelope I took a piece of 3/4 x 2 piece of paper and folded it to look like an envelope and just cut the top piece in a triangular shape.

Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Karen Burniston January Designer Challenge -3 or more.....Calling Dr. Love

It's time for Karen Burniston's January Designer Challenge!  The Design Team was challenged to use 3 or more categories of dies and one of those dies were to be a new release.  Let me let you in on a secret - it's not hard at all to use 3 or more dies on one card - the hard part is choosing some as they are ALL SO MUCH FUN!!

I chose the new Tag Pivot Card to create my Calling Dr. Love card.  Dutch the Fox is texting her love sweet love notes - so sweet.

I doubled the Tag Pivot Card by keeping my card base folded in half and only putting the largest tag on the folded card while die cutting.
To create the clip on the clip board, I used a new die from Elizabeth Craft Designs called Tags & More 7- Vine with Silver Metallic Shimmer Sheetz.  I love the little paper clip that's included in the Tag Pivot Card die set.
Stop back tomorrow to see my second card for the challenge.

Happy Crafting,
Raquel

Pop It Ups Sneak Peak - Garden Party!

I've used some of Karen Burniston's new dies again - they are so much fun and easy to create with.  I used the new Star Frame Edges to frame the stars from Star Accordion Album.  The Happy Birthday is from Happy Birthday PopUp.

Welcome to the Garden Party!  I used the spinner portion from Rectangle Pull Card to animate Buster & Whiskers.  I got the idea to use the spinner this way from Karen as she is the most clever Pop It Ups gal!  I die cut an acetate spiral from Spiral Circle Pull Card to animate some balloons behind Poppy.

These party animals are ready to celebrate as they don their party hats, balloons & party blowers!
From the side you can see the acetate spiral on the top wall behind Poppy and the spinner behind Whiskers that I have attached to the Garden Bench & floor of the card.

Happy Crafting,
Raquel
