Karen Burniston Designer Challenge - Cutesy

It's time again for Karen Burniston's Designer Challenge.  This month, the team was challenged to make an artsy or cutesy card.  I am starting off this challenge with my cutesy card.

I used the Rectangle Pull Card for the base and used one of the tags from Tag Pivot Card to make the shaker jar full of flies.  Yes, the flies actually "Fly" around in the shaker.
Peeking out from the side is a frog balloon die cut from Props 2.....but wait open the card and.....
You see Hoppy the Frog holding the frog balloon wishing you a "Hoppy Birthday".  I added a party blower from Props 2, the lips are from Props 1.  I used Elizabeth Craft Designs' Alphabet 1 die set to create "Hoppy" and Happy Birthday PopUp for the "Birthday".  Notice the fly one the "I"?

Raquel

Crazy 4 Challenges - Mom's Valentine

It's challenge time with the "Crazies" over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog.  This week's challenge is to make a Blingy Valentine's Day card fit for a Royal Mom.

I created this card by stamping some images from Honeycomb Hello onto Whisper White.  I layered a Daffodil Delight Hexagon Hive die cut piece over the top.  I punched several pieces of Silver Glimmer Paper using the Hexagon Punch.  To get the word "MOM", I simply stamped the "WOW!" from the set upside down and omitted the !.

For the inside, I die cut some Daffodil Delight & Real Red hearts using Karen Burniston's Heart Pivot die.  The sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes was stamped onto Whisper White then punched using Word Window Punch.

Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Mixed Accordions

I used Fancy Frame Accordion, Star Accordion Album & Ring Accordion for the bases.  I will be teaching how to make a similar mixed Accordion at Stamp Boutique this March.

I used Elizabeth Craft Designs' Alphabet 1 to create the sentiment "I Dig You".  This mixed Accordion can easily be used for photos by putting your favorite beach photos on the reverse side.

I also wanted to experiment with mixed frame edges, so I used Fancy Frame Edges & Star Fancy Frame Edges.

Happy Crafting,
Raquel

Simply Wonderful

Sale-A-Bration is in full swing & I hope you have taken advantage of the free products that Stampin' Up! is offering with every $50 order.  The flowers from Crazy About You were stamped using the kissing technique in Strawberry Slush & Pistachio Pudding.  Remember the kissing technique?  No!  Here's how it works....pucker up...no just kidding.  Ink both of your stamps with different color inks, then press them together & twist.....that's basically it.  Change the look by using 1 bold & 1 line art image or  try out different colors of ink.

Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Tag Pivot Valentine Scratch Off

Here's a card that my son Jake & I created together.  I used Karen Burniston's Seamless Backing technique.  The stamp is a retired set from Stampin' Up! called Toucan of My Love.

Now you may be saying where's the scratch off?  Look at the upper right corner then scratch off to reveal the hidden message.  Jake thought it was so cool to make the "Scratch Off Potion" and wanted to test it out over and over again......and he did!
Want to make your very own potion?  Here's the recipe I found on Pinterest: 2 tsp paint & 1 tsp dish soap.  I found that was a lot so I cut the portion in half.  Stamp your sentiment, color over it with white crayon then paint on the potion and let it dry.

Happy Crafting,
Raquel
