Crazy 4 Challenges - Squirrel Appreciation Day

Last week was Squirrel appreciation day!  I mean who knew?  The Crazy 4 Challenges team is showing our love for these furry critters by using any one of our favorite furry critters on a card. I am interpreting the "Furry critters" as any animal with fur as I don't have a squirrel stamp.  I water colored this sweet dog image from Bella and Friends.  I thought it would be fun to add a hot dog from the Tasty Trucks stamp set.  I used a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to ink up the stamp and omitting the bone that is on the stamp.  After coloring Bella, I cut around the mouth so I could insert the hot dog.  I added a few Labels & Circles for an added pop of color along with a banner.
For the inside, I used Karen Burniston's Cake Pop Up.  The sentiment from Tasty Trucks coordinates perfect with the whole cake/food theme!
Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Crazy 4 Challenges - Sketch

It's the third Saturday of the month and that means it's sketch time with Crazy 4 Challenges.  I chose to make a CAS card with this fun sketch.
I used a Sale-A-Bration stamp set called Tasty Trucks for this quick card.  If you're not familiar with Sale-A-Bration, it's a Stampin' Up! promotion where you can choose free items with a $50 purchase.  I stamped the sentiment onto a word bubble from Karen Burniston's Accordion Rectangle.  I then used Elizabeth Craft Designs' Stitched Rectangles to cut the shape again.  I used Karen's Outdoor Edges to get the wave in the middle of the card; I love that little pop of green peeking through.  I used Daffodil Delight and Emerald Envy and an Aquapainter to color in the tacos.

Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Age is only a number

I made this card for a co-worker who's having a birthday.  I had this stamp in my stash and thought it suiting for a women's birthday.....and she's an animal lover.
I used the Balloon Bouquet punch to punch out multiple colors of balloons.  I used a Journaling Pen to draw all the strings for the balloons.  The glittered washi tape was a Sale-A-Bration from last year.  I used Stitched Rectangles for the mat & the image.
I kept the inside simple so there's enough room for all my co-workers to sign the card.  The finished size of this card is 5x9.
Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Crazy 4 Challenges - Organize your home day

It's a whole new year with Crazy 4 Challenges full of fun!  Today's challenge is about organizing your home and to create a card for a new home owner or something for the home.  I chose to try out a technique that I saw on Els' Technique Friday using both the positive and negative pieces of their peel-offs.

I cut a piece of Red Metallic Shimmer Sheetz large enough to fit the flower peel-off.  Next, I added the black outline of the flower and then filled in some of the petals with the same flower peel-off using silver and gold.  I added glitter border lines around the card and finished it off with a peel-off sentiment.
Shimmer Sheetz sure are beautiful in person, but tricky to take a photo of without having a reflection of my camera.☺

Happy Stampin',
Raquel
