Elizabeth Craft Designs' Designer Challenge - Flower Power

The theme for Elizabeth Craft Designs' March Challenge is Flower Power.  I created an easel card using Stand Up Helpers.  For the front of my card, I used Tags & More 7 as a focal point for the beautiful Daisy, Butterfly and Lady Bugs dies.  While I had all my supplies out, I decided to decorate the envelope too.
To create the easel place the Stand Up Helpers evenly spaced on the bottom portion of the card base and die cut twice using the flower Stand Up Helper.

Happy Crafting,
Raquel

Crazy 4 Challenges Spring - Honey Bunny

It's a Spring challenge with Crazy 4 Challenges this week.
I used Karen Burniston's Rectangle Accordion and Katie Flourish Frame Edges for my base card.  I made Honey into Honey Bunny by adding ears by using the two "L's" from "Hello" die in the Rectangle Accordion die set.  I die cut Honey from Beige Adhesive Velvet and colored him using Spectrum Noir markers.  Tip: don't linger too long over the velvet or the marker will remove some of the velvet.

I applied the Flower Vases Peel-Off to Transparent Double Sided Tape Sheet, covered with Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter then colored with Spectrum Noir markers.  After coloring the peel-off I fussy cut the flower and placed the stem under Honey's paw.  I used Elizabeth Craft Designs' Alphabet 1 to create the punch line of my sentiment.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter.

Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Karen Burniston Designer Challenge - Make 'em Laugh

The Design Team has been challenged to "Make 'em Laugh" this month.  I know I chuckle when I see this little dog's head spin right round and then over again and again.  To make his head spin just pull on the bone and the laughing starts.

I stamped the images onto the decorator tag dies and colored them with colored pencils.  I will be teaching how to make this card at Stamp Boutique in Pompano Beach, FL on April 23rd and 25th.   To register for the class, call or click on the link above.  See the action!

Visit again tomorrow to see my second card for this challenge and to view the other card I will be teaching.
Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Crazy 4 Challenges Sketch - Tap Tap Tap

It's sketch time at Crazy 4 Challenges!

What a great sketch, perfect for this masculine birthday card.  I used Tap Tap Tap stamp set for the vintage type writer.  My son saw a typewriter in a movie and asked me about "This machine".....true story.  For the sentiment I used a Sale A Bration set called Big Day and I colored it with Night of Navy Blendabilities.  I stamped the background using Dictionary and sponged heavily with Baked Brown Sugar.
I had recently got the Banners Framelits and it fit perfectly with this sketch.  To make the banner longer, I stopped the cutting pad short so it didn't cut the top and I could alter the length.  A quick punch using Spiral Border along the DSP and my card is complete.

Happy Stampin',
Raquel
