Crazy 4 Challenges - Thank You

It's a "Thank you for your help" theme with Crazy 4 Challenges today.  It's National Dr.'s Day and we all have a lot to be thankful for when it comes to Dr.'s and Nurses.  So we are making cards to show our appreciation.

I fussy cut out a flower from Springtime Foils DSP and colored it in with Stampin' Write Markers.  The paper is a little glossy and thicker than regular cardstock so it's so easy to move the color around to get shading.

Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Crazy 4 Challenges - Cutie Patootie

Here's a cutie patootie challenge for you today!  The Crazy 4 Challenges Design Team are making cards or scrapbook pages with a child theme.  Blocks, playground - even a little red wagon if we so desire.
I couldn't help but use this cute Sale-a-bration set called Party Pandas.  I created masks for all 3 pandas, then stamped & masked away.  Aren't they cutie patootie?
For the inside I used Karen Burniston's Spinner Square Pop Up to add a peekaboo panda.

Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Lovely Friends

I was playing around with the new Lovely Friends Photopolymer Bundle today and made this card.  I stamped the sentiment onto Whisper White and traced around the letters with a Pool Party Stampin' Writer Marker.  I also stamped a flower and some dots - included in the set.  The flower is easy to get the shading as it's a 2-step stamp.
What's that popping out?  The Lovely Laurel Thinlits are basically a 3-D floral piece with a banner.  I adhered the striped panels prior to adhering the wreath and banner.
I had a Brusho piece that I used to die cut the wreath portion.  I added a white square for a signature area.
Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Crazy 4 Challenges - Sketch

It's the third Saturday of the month and that means it's sketch time with Crazy 4 Challenges.  I followed the sketch to make this beautiful card using Birthday Blossoms from Stampin' Up!.  The flowers were stamped onto a piece of Whisper White that I had sprinkled with Brusho previously.  The "Celebrate" die cut is a Sale-a-bration item called Celebrate You Thinlits.
For the inside, I used Karen Burniston's new Spinner Square Pop Up.  Here's a view as the card is opening.
I used the coordinating square dies for stamping a sentiment.  I adhered another Brusho flower to the spinner.  I added all those little dots to the centers of all the circles.  The little dots were from the Outline Stickers.
Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Karen Burniston's Paper Pros Challenge - Green

Since Saint Patrick's Day is this week, I thought it suiting to make Karen Burniston's Paper Pros challenge - GREEN.  The team takes turns choosing the theme and I chose make a green card.  Not a very hard theme to follow just use the color green.
I started out with using Brusho on Glossy cardstock by sprinkling the Brusho onto a clear block, spritz with water and laid the Glossy on top of the block.  Once that was dry, I used Birthday Blossoms and StazOn to stamp some flowers.  I used an edge die included in  Karen Burniston's Twist Panel Pop Up to get those wavy edges.
I also used that same die for the inside of my card.  I just love how this card flips and expands upon opening.  I only used one die set to create this card!

Happy Stampin',

Crazy 4 Challenges - National Poultry Day

Did you know that it's National Poultry Day?  The Crazy 4 Challenges Design Team were challenged to make a chicken card.  If we didn't have a chicken using any type of fowl - cardinal, robin, flamingo - something with feathers will do.
I knew I had this cute chicken stamp and wanted to play with Karen Burniston's new die called Spinner Square Pop Up.
I die cut a square opening in the front of the card so the chicken will show whilst the card is open or shut - ok I admit I didn't want to have to color this cute chicken twice.  I only used two die sets to make this card and the other set is called Nature Edges (the blue piece)
I love that the square dies in the set have stitch marks - such a great detail.  When you open the card, the sentiment comes down to be revealed.  To give a little bit of color to the bottom of my card, I used the left over piece from the front to adhere to the bottom of the card.

Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Crazy 4 Challenges - Banana Cream Pie Day

Today is Banana Cream Pie Day!  Today is a very sweet day!  The Crazy 4 Challenges Design Team are creating dessert cards today.  Desserts such as pie, of course, or ice cream, or cookies - anything I consider to be a sweet dessert.  I think cupcakes qualify LOL.
I used a peel-off sticker from Elizabeth Craft Designs for my main image.  I used Watercolor Pencils to color the cupcake.  I die cut the word "Celebrate" out of blue glitter paper using Stampin' Up!'s Celebrate You Thinlits.
I stamped a sentiment from Party with Cake on the top left.  I used a Transfer Sheet to pick up the negative image of the cupcake to transfer it to the inside of my card.

Happy Stampin',
Raquel
