Elizabeth Craft Designs' Designer Challenge - New Peel-Offs

It's time for the Elizabeth Craft Designs' Designer Challenge!  The team was challenged to use any of the new Peel-Off stickers on their projects.  I decided to make a Summer Journal that can be used for pictures or write your thoughts.
I used Tags & More 8 - Lattice to create the journal and the accessory die to create the holes to bind them all together.  I used Summer Peel-Offs that were backed with Transparent Double Sided Tape Sheet covered with Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter then colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.  "Summer 2015" was die cut from brightly colored cardstock using Alphabet 1 and Numbers & More 1.
After coloring all the peel-offs, I fussy cut them out and placed them on the pages.  To compliment the opposite page, I used a Transfer Sheet to transfer the negative peel-off image.
I used Karen Burniston's Beach Edges to create the water.  I think adding Glitter Lines around the edges adds just the right amount of bling without any bulk.
I used Rainy Day to create the sunbrella, simply die cut the umbrella twice, cut apart the sections to make it multi colored.
For the final page, I used the Beach Edges again to create this tropical scene.

Happy Stampin',
Raquel

C4C292 - Sheltering Tree

It's time for Crazy 4 Challenges!  The team was challenged to "Plant" a tree on our project and the Sheltering Tree from Stampin' Up! is the perfect stamp set for the challenge.
I used some retired DSP - inked the edges with Crumb Cake and used a Distress Tool to rough up the edges.  I die cut a piece of Very Vanilla using the new Lots of Labels die large enough to fit the tree.   I used Mint Macaroon & Cucumber Crush (the new In Colors) to stamp the tree and grass areas.

Happy Stampin',

Spectrum Noir Challenge - Bling

The Spectrum Noir challenge this month is to add BLING to your card.  This fun image is from Inky Antics and I colored her with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.  I found some bling cardstock in my stash and added some Glitter Border Lines too.
I used Karen Burniston's Lucy Label, but I doubled it and added a slot hole to animate the cake.  To double the Lucy Label, keep your cardstock folded in half, place the label portion of the die on the folded cardstock - you will still have the alignment numbs on the fold - then die cut.  I adhered a scallop oval from a companion die included in the Oval Accordion Card to mimic a plate.  Place the companion slot die centered on the scallop oval then die cut.  Cut a strip of 1/2" wide cardstock to make an "L" bracket, place adhesive on the folded bottom portion then put it through the slot to adhere it to the card base.  Now you have a spot to glue the cake to.

The inside sentiment is from Yipee -Skippee!.  I used a Funky Cakes peel-off from Elizabeth Craft Designs that was covered in Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter then colored with Spectrum Noir markers.  I die cut a scallop oval from Accordion Oval Card to look like a plate.  The wide glitter lines are the perimeter pieces of the Glitter Border Lines - I didn't want to waste any of that glittery goodness!

Happy Stampin',
