Season Like Christmas

I make this simple Christmas card using the new stamp set from Stampin' Up! called Season Like Christmas.
I stamped the largest tree in Garden Green and the smaller tree in Mossy Meadow.  The trunk of the tree is a separate stamp and it's so easy to line up.  I embossed the little circle/snow stamp in Encore Gold and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.  The die cut sentiment is from Karen Burniston called Word Set 3 - Holiday.  To top off the tree, I used a Metallic Enamel Shape.
I used a die cut from Karen Burniston's Twist Panel Pop Up to stamp the sentiment on.  For a regal touch, I added a small strip of gold card stock.

Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Crazy 4 Challenges - Back to School

Since this is the last Saturday of the month, so comes my end to being host of the Crazy 4 Challenges.  The theme is "Back to School" - all the summer fun has come to an end for teachers and students.  Let's make a card to help cheer someone up, any cheerful theme or image will do.
If this sentiment doesn't cheer you up with laughter, I don't know what will.  I used one of my favorite stamp sets again called Five for All.  Stampin' Up! has brought back Glossy Cardstock to their catalog, so I made this gradient background by swiping Tempting Turquoise, Pekaboo Peach, and Emerald Envy Classic Ink across the cardstock.  After I swiped the ink across, I spritzed it with water a few times.  I then used a towel to dab off the excess water and create a fun texture too.  For some quick color, I added a bit of washi tape and a stamp with a cake.
For the inside, I followed the same styling as the front with a Stitched Rectangle and some washi tape.

Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Santa Paws

I think the new Santa Paws stamp set from Stampin' Up! is so adorable!  I also wanted to try out Karen Burniston's new Christmas Tree Pop Up.....so here's my card for the animal lover.
I colored the images using alcohol based markers.  I traced around the image with a gel pen by leaving the card stock in the die and traced around the edge.
OMG look at that adorable tree stamped with all the animals!  The sentiment also comes in the Santa Paws set.
Assembling the tree is very easy - much easier than I anticipated I'll admit.  Instead of a star, I thought it fitting to have a paw topper.

Happy Stampin',

Crazy 4 Challenges - Sketch

It's the third Saturday of the month and that means it's sketch time with Crazy 4 Challenges.

For the background I used the new Marbled background stamp from Stampin' Up!.  I inked up the stamp using Night of Navy, Cucumber Crush, and Tangelo Twist Classic ink.  I wanted to make a bright card so I added some flowers and a butterfly using the You Move Me bundle.  What I really like about the butterfly is the detail die is separate from the bold image so you can have a solid butterfly or use the detailed die for an inlaid look.

Happy Stampin',

Crazy 4 Challenges - Monochromatic

It's a monochromatic theme with Crazy 4 Challenges today.  Make a card that has different shades of one color - you may use white or black as an accent.
I love how this card came out.  I saw a similar card on Pinterest and thought it would be perfect for the monochromatic challenge. Since purple is my favorite color that's what I chose to go with.  And not only that, I was gifted some of this beautiful purple cardstock from one of my customers (thank you very much Pattie).
I stamped the flower from Helping Me Grow onto a piece of Wisteria Wonder.  I stamped the flower from Birthday Blooms onto a scrap piece of the purple and fussy cut it out.  This is a very simple card to make but it's just SO pretty!  Or am I just biased because purple is my favorite color?

Karen Burniston's Paper Pros challenge - Monochromatic

I set the theme for this months' Paper Pros challenge - Monochromatic.  It's easy enough to pick a color and use many shades of that color.  The idea for this card came from taking my son to see the new Emoji movie.  We were talking about the commercial we saw about the poo saying we're #2.  We missed our nephew's birthday and he wants to see the movie too.....ok see where I'm going here?

I used the frosting die from Cupcake Pop Up to make the poo.  I thought the sentiment was very fitting to my belated situation LOL.  I used several labels from Katherine Label to adhere my punny sentiment to.

For the inside, I made a family of poo wishing my nephew a happy birthday.  I think he'll get a kick out of this card or at least I hope so because I couldn't stop laughing as I was making it.

Crazy 4 Challenges - Summer Fun

Let's have some Summer Fun with Crazy 4 Challenges!  I am hosting the challenges for the month of August.  Our guest designer is Fran Sabad.
Who doesn't like to take it easy and relax in the summer?  That was my thinking for our challenge this month.  The team was told to make a bright and cheerful card - easy right?
I used Karen Burniston's new Flower Pot Pop Up and Twist Panel Pop Up to create this beauty.  I stamped the sentiment from Five for All onto a die cut.  The front is a simple lead in for the bouquet inside!
WOW!  When you open the card, the flower pot opens up to reveal all those pretty flowers.  I love it, and I mean who wouldn't love to receive this card?

Five for All

I saw a similar card to this one on Pinterest and I knew I had to make one.
I used one of my new favorite stamp sets from Stampin' Up! called Five for All for the perfect sentiment for a kid.  I die cut some fun foam to make the shaker ring.  I had these fun candles from Elizabeth Craft Designs already die cut and ready to go.  I had some blue acetate in my stash - I thought the color added a bit more fun to the card.
And a simple sentiment on the inside completes this card.
