Yummy in My Tummy and Everyday Hero

I made this super fun, cute card using Stampin' Up's! new stamp sets called Yummy in My Tummy and Everyday Hero.  I stamped the building first, masked it off and then stamped the monster.  I colored the images in with colored pencils.
I stamped the monster again on the inside with a little sentiment from the Everyday Hero set.
Happy Stampin',

Crazy 4 Challenges - Use Your Words

It's time to choose our words wisely with the Crazy 4 Challenges Design Team.  We were instructed to make a card with the sentiment being the most dominant thing on our card....hence the title "Use your words".
I die cut the word "Celebrate" from a holographic piece of paper I found in my stash.  For added dimension, I also die cut it from cardboard and black card stock to make a shadow.  I die cut the parts hats from Props 2 and adhered them with dimensionals.
Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Flourish Thinlits

I made another card just like we did in my Stamp Camp this past weekend.  I was originally inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest.  I die cut the flourish from Flourish Thinlits first and then used an oval die to die cut the opening.  I stamped the sentiment from Flourishing Phrases on the bottom corner and it's all done!  Oh I almost forgot the glitter dots.
Happy Stampin',

Crazy 4 Challenges - Sketch

It's the 3rd Saturday of the month and that means it's sketch time with Crazy 4 Challenges.  My whole card started off by finding the eyeglasses and bow-tie already die cut in a bag of mine.  So I put my thinking cap on and started die cutting some more pieces to the face and the next thing I knew, my card was created!
I used Props 1, Virgil the Pig and Chilly the Penguin to create the face.  To make the nose, I used Virgil's negative area of his snout.  For the eyes, I used Virgil's for the blue and Chilly's for the white.  The sentiment is from Endless Birthday Wishes - a very fun Stampin' Up! set.
I kept the inside simple by repeating a portion of the face and stamping a funny sentiment from Bombs Away Birthday.
Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Everyday Hero

I thought this new stamp set called Everyday Hero in the new Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog looked like so much fun.  I also used the new Sliders and Spinners from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  I stamped our super hero onto Whisper White, colored with Watercolor Pencils and then fussy cut him out.
Unfortunately I was messing around too much with positioning him on the spinner that I wrinkled his face ooops.  He can move all along the spinner track and even fly up side down.....now that's some super hero!  I die cut the little circles, included in the Sliders and Spinners die set, from fun foam.  I punched (2) 1/2" circles from card stock to trap the fun foam in the channel.  I used Dimensionals to adhere the blue panel to the card as spinner cards need extra depth so the spinner can move freely.
Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Crazy 4 Challenges - Fancy Dinner

Valentine's Day is approaching and it's a day when many take the opportunity to go out and have a fancy dinner to celebrate.  So for today's challenge, the Crazy 4 Challenges team will be incorporating food/dining/dishes in our designs.....and we must use the color red.  What better set to use than Karen Burniston's Props 8?  It just doesn't get any easier as this set has a slice of cake - yummy!
I sponged a bit of ink on Baker the Beaver and even gave him rosy cheeks.  The sentiment from Tasty Trucks (Sale-A-Bration set)  was stamped onto the heart from Heart Pivot Card.
I used Happy Birthday Pop Up for the inside.  I stamped the sentiment on a little banner from Lots of Pops.  Now I would seriously like to know "Where's the cake?".
Happy Stampin',
Raquel
