Botanical Blooms

I was playing around with the Botanical Blooms stamp set and Framelits from Stampin' Up! the other day - wow what a fun bundle that is.  The stamps coordinate with the dies and that makes it so much easier to put this simple card together.

 I sponged used some of the new In Colors - Emerald Envy and Flirty Flamingo - on the flower and leaf.  I even got out an envelope and stamped on it so it would match and look all pretty when the recipient gets it in the mail.

I doubled Karen Burniston's Lorna Label simply by keeping the card stock folded in half, placing the die on the top with the alignment nubs on the score line and then die cut.  The sentiment is from Birthday Blooms stamped onto a stitched Lorna Label that came with the die set.

Crazy 4 Challenges - Button Day

Did you know that November 16th is Button Day?  I mean who knew right?  Well the Hostess of the Crazy 4 Challenges, Joanne Grzelak knew that's who!  
November 16th is Button Day.  Your challenge this week is to make a feminine birthday card with buttons on it.  

For my main image I used Flower Vases peel-off sticker from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  I first applied Transparent Double Sided Adhesive to Whisper White card stock then placed the peel-off sticker onto the adhesive and covered with Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter.  Yes, playing with glitter is fun.  I used alcohol markers to color in the Flower Vases.  I even decorated the envelope with the negative pieces of the peel-off sticker using a Transfer Sheet.

I used the doubling technique to double the Lorna Label and add a spiral from the Spiral Circle Pull Card.  To double the Lorna, fold you card base, place the die on the folded card keeping the alignment nubs on the fold then die cut.  Unfold the card and place the spiral die on one of the labels then die cut.  I added a few of the smaller flowers from the peel-off to the spiral.  I stamped the sentiment from Stampin' Up!'s Sprinkles of Life onto a Lorna Label so it will be visible when the card is opened.

Lorna Label Butterfly Pop Up

I found these butterfly peel-offs in my stash so I decided to make a quick card - any reason to make a card is a good enough for me.  I colored the butterfly with Stampin' Write Markers and added a silver Peel-Off sentiment from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

I used Lorna Label and the companion dies included in the set to decorate the inside of my card.  I used a Transfer Sheet to place the negative pieces of the butterfly onto the Lorna Label.

I added a Whisper White Lorna Label so I could add a personal greeting.

Pop It Ups Double Spiral Circle Pull Card Rubber Ducky

 
This card is made using Karen Burniston's Pop It Ups Spiral Circle Pull Card (which I have used many times before) but I doubled the circle portion of the die.  I used Elizabeth Craft Designs' Rubber Ducky for the front of my card.  I curved the Congratulations around the circle - so easy to do - just bend the die cut.  I cut the Rubber Ducky from Yellow Velvet and sponged a bit of orange ink around the edges.

So cute!  I used Stocking Solid die to create the little booties.  The little bow is from Ornament Set 3.

I hid a little Rubber Ducky that will be revealed within the spiral when the card is fully opened.  I used a Stampin' Write Marker to trace around the circle and Lorna Label dies - I love that look!

Pop It Ups Holiday House

I've used a companion decorator die from Lorna Label and Season's Greetings for the front of my card.  I purposefully kept it simple as the surprise is on the inside.

I doubled the Lorna Label so I could make a candy cane path to my Holiday House.  The trees are from Evergreen Pivot, the house is Holiday House, the candy canes are the umbrella handle from Rainy Day, the slots are from Lucy Label.
I attached the pines to the large Lorna Label, the Holiday House is on the bump & all the candy canes are on an "L" bracket cut from acetate using the post from Lots of Pops.

That one lone snowflake is from Circle Spiral Pull Card.  I die cut the lights from Double Sided Adhesive and white card stock, glittered with  Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter and colored them with my Spectrum Noir markers.

Pop It Ups double Lorna Label

I had made this card for my local craft store, Stamp Boutique, when I did a Pop It Ups/Elizabeth Craft Designs demo there.  I wanted to show just how quick & easy it can be to make pop up cards.
I used one of the companion decorator dies from Lorna Label and Butterfly Pivot on the front.  I love how the Lorna Label has a stitched decorator die.

Now this may look difficult - but it's not.  To double the Lorna Label, simply leave your card stock folded in half & cut at you normally would.....ta da and it's instantly doubled!  I know, awesome right?  And not only that I also have a floating floor to animate the Butterfly Accessories.  I used the little slot die from Lucy Label to die cut little slots so I could put the acetate strips in to hold up the butterflies.

A top view - so cool!
