Pop It Ups Heart Pivot Card Toucan of My Love

I thought my son Jake could give this card to his teacher for Valentine's Day.  This Pop It Ups card was made with the Heart Pivot Card die, but it's not just for Valentine's Day - all you have to do is visit Karen Aicken's blog for proof of that       http://alteredscrapbooking.blogspot.com/
I found this super cute paper stack in my stash & thought it was perfect for a Pop It Ups card.  The hearts behind the toucan are cut from the heart dies that are included in the Heart Pivot Card set.  The toucan was stamped onto Very Vanilla & colored with colored pencils - his wing & tail are on dimensionals and his eyes would be the perfect size for little googlies.   The little heart die is from the Oval Accoridan Card & I put holographic tape over white cardstock & then die cut it....I did the same on the inside....want to see?

I just cut those strips out of the patterned paper.  The sentiment is die cut using the Accordian Circle set.

Happy Stamping,
Raquel

Pop It Ups Heart Pivot Card

My neighbor Alicia (11) made this card....you remember "The girls" I mentioned before?  Well, she made this Heart Pivot Card for her Dad's birthday.  Alicia cut it ALL by herself, great job!  Alicia stamped the cake from Bring on the Cake stamp set.  The other embelishments she had in her stash.  See those fun glittery green hearts?  Those hearts are cut from foam using the heart in the Oval Accordian Card - so those little awesome dies cut foam too!!!

The inside sentiment is from Riveting (retired) that was punched out with 1 3/8" circle punch & then Alicia put rhinestones all around the circle - sparkly bling.  The brown hearts were cut from the heart dies included in the Heart Pivot Card set.
Happy Birthday Mikael!

Happy Stamping,
Raquel

Supplies:
Stamps: Bring on the Cake, Riveting

Pop It Ups Oval Accordion with Fabulous Florets

This is Karen Burniston's Oval Accordion Card, let me say they are so much fun to make & hard to stop adding details to....as you can see I've put a lot onto this card.  I stamped the Fabulous Florets onto Whisper White with Versamark & embossed with black EP then colored using Stampin Write Markers then fussy cut them all out.  The butterflies are from Karen's Butterfly Accesory set, I love that filagree one - it's So pretty.  I added Elizabeth Crafts Glitter Dots in the centers of the butterflies.  That little adorable heart is also included in the Oval Accordion set.  Yes I said set, as the companion dies come included - can you hear me squealing in delight?  That paper I found in my stash, OMG why hadn't I used it before now?  The sentiment (non SU) was cut with the ovals in the set.  The larger ovals was cut from Primrose Petals Coredinations & sanded it just a bit to make it look more tattered & vintage.

Here's the back of the card embelished with the Oval Flourish Frame Edges & butterflies from Butterfly Accesories.  I love the way the Flourish Frames are so delicate & lacey.  When cutting them, I cut 2 of each size - bottm & sides, then ran them through my X (sticker maker machine) or another option may be spray adhesive.   I glued the bottom one first & then worked my way around the frame.   I left the center panel blank for a signature.

Thanks for stopping by & all comments are appreciated.  To purchase any Stampin Up items please visit my online store.  To purcahse Pop It Ups visit your local craft store, if they don't carry them ask your local store to contact Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Pop It Ups Unfrogettable

I am entering this Pop It Ups Lots of Pops into the Spectrum Noir Challenge all about animals/critters.  Here's their link if you want to play along too http://www.spectrumnoir.com/challenge/

I stamped my image from the stamp set Unfrogettable (retired) onto Very Vanilla & colored in with my Spectrum Noir markers.  I followed their tutorial on how to create those clouds, not too bad for my first try but I will keep practicing.  I colored the ground & added some grass too.  I die cut the main image using Accordian Fancy Label die, the banner comes in the Lots of Pops set.  Since I used the largest Accordian Fancy Label die in the set, to get the Pacific Point mat around the image I die cut 2 of them in Pacific Point & cut them (one horizontally & the other vertically) then glued them behind the Very Vanilla.  I added some Wink of Stella to the dragonfly wings, Cyrstal Effects to the heart & Enamel Accents to the eyes of the frog & dragonfly.  To get the black dots of the eyes, I squirted some black onto scrap paper & used my paper piercing tool to drop little drops of black into the center of the white.  Tie some Pacific Point ribbon to the bottom & let's move on to the inside....

I used Agatha Edges to cut the beautiful edges on the top & bottom of the card, also included is that pretty scroll that fits both of the edge dies in that set.  I sponged Marina Mist onto the top portion & spritzed with water.  The clouds & grass is from Garden Bench Pop Up.  I ran the clouds (also could be snow mounds) through my polka dot EF & sponged them just a bit.  I die cut another Lots of Pops in Garden Green just to cover the pop up area, then glued the grass to each pop out & then all my images.
Here's a close up...

I hope you like it as much as I do, those frogs make me laugh.  Thanks for stopping by & all comments are appreciated.
Happy Stamping,
Raquel

Pop It Ups Minions

How "Dispicable" is this card?  Very much so if you ask me.  I used Karen Burniston's Sizzix Square Ornate Base to cut the minion face from Daffodil Delight.  The eyes are made with Silver Foil paper and cut from using Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs Accordian Circle die set.  To make his mouth, I used a cut out piece from that die that really is of no use because it's around the circle accordian area.

They are too much fun and boy do they love bananas!  I used Pop It Ups Garden Bench, I cut a second time out of Pacific Point.....to match their overalls of course.  I used the floating floor that Karen just posted on her blog the other day, check it out

The minions are from a blog that provides free SVG files, but (insert sad face) I don't have a cutter that will cut SVG's so I just printed them out on cardstock & fussy cut them.  I cut their glasses out & put them on with dimensionals.  The sentiments are vellum pieces I found in my stash.  The bananas are from Create A Critter Cricut cartridge, I only had the peel so I hand cut the banana inside.  The cloud paper I found in my stash, remember that cleaning out your paper stash means you find lots more paper than you knew you ever had (yeah more paper)!

Here's a close up of them banana loving minions.

Happy Stamping,
Raquel

Pop It Ups Under the Stars

This card all started from that patterned piece of paper called "Luster Evergreens".  My mom cleaned out her paper & was giving it to the girls on my street as I have made them into paper crafters at the young age of 10 & 11.  Back to the story, this paper changed hands a couple times & ended up in mine as I had borrowed Under the Stars from my mom and this paper fit perfectly with what I had in mind....whoo long story over.  I started with a base of Old Olive, added the patterned paper (of course), clouds embossed with Lacey Brocade cut from All Seasons Tree, then made mountains from Sahara Sand with the Square Circle Frame Edges, then added a piece of sponged Garden Green, then those adorable creatures that were colored with Spectrum Noir & hand cut, then a strip of grass from All Seasons Tree.  The sentiment is from a retired set called All Year Cheer.

I used that evergreen patterned paper again by die cutting it with my Sahara Sand base using the Lucy Label.  Why did I cut it again you ask?  Well that way I will get that exact shape to fit around the Lucy Label pop up so it fits perfectly on the top portion of my card.  The other die cuts for the sentiments are from Lucy Label & Katie Label Pivot Card.  What's nice about these dies is that they already come with accessory dies - yes it's already there for you AND they fit perfectly AND will all interchange.  Speaking of interchange you can even use your Pop N Cuts base to cut your base card & use Pop It Ups for the inside....talk about all the posilbilites.....whewww I could go on & on.  Behind the racoon & can of beans, I used a die cut from Katie Label that I embossed using a Silicone pad & Textured Impressions Pad to make the pretty pattern come out in that particular die, then I kept the die on & sponged black ink over the top making the embossed areas show up even more.  On the bottom Garden Green piece, I cut that using the Agatha Edge die & then put it back on top & embossed that (just like I did on the other piece).  I tucked another sentiment under the Garden Green piece (copied that from Karen Aicken).

Happy Stamping,

Pop N Cut Label Window

I totally love this card, it's sparkly & interactive......what more could a gal ask for?  I used Karen Burniston's Pop N Cut Square Ornate Base with 3-D Label Window insert to cut the card base, then it just took off from there.  I stamped the flowers from Backyard Basics onto Whisper White with Black Staz-On & colored with Classic Ink pads and my aquapainter, Chalk Marker for details & Wink of Stella for a bit of glitter.  I cut all the images with the Backyard Basics Framelits.  The sentiment is stamped with Bring on the Cake & die cut with Labels Collection Framelits.  I used the scroll on the Ornate Base to cut Turquoise Gemstone Shimmer Sheetz & then embossed with Lacey Brocade EF - that really brings it up a notch to WOW!

I wanted to leave a border on the decorative edge between the Pool Party & the Etcetera DSP - BUT I cut it wrong...yep make a mistake but I redeemed it all by putting Turquoise Silver Starform Stickers to cover the seams.  To make the mat for the 3-D Labels & the butterfly, I used Karen's Butterflies & Labels die.

Raquel

Pop It Ups Garden Bench

Can I just say that I am totally enjoying these new Karen Burniston dies called Pop It Ups.  Karen designed these dies for Elizabeth Craft Designs & I along with many other talented ladies have been chosen to be on her Desginer Challenge Team (yeah)!
So let's get into what products I used to create this lovely card.  The front is very simple, I let the DSP do the work for me & added the Agatha Edge die cut twice (one in Pacific Point & one in Lavender Lace).  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes & cut out with Lucy Label.  I left the Whisper White in the Lucy Label & sponged over the top with Bashful Blue ink - it leaves a nice white edge while the center gets color.  I used the little slot dies included in the Lucy Label to cut the holes for the polka dot ribbon to slide through.

Look at that bench!  Wow, isn't the little boy cute just sitting there with well wishes.  Let's start from the top shall we.....I cut the edge with the Agatha Edge die, it comes with the scroll you see on the bottom of the card (love it).  The All-Seasons Tree includes all the items you see on the tree even those clouds.  I die cut some of the clouds/foliage in green and sponged them a little, then put the little leaves on & then the little flowers followed with a bit of glitter.  I die cut another bench in Early Espresso Coredinations, embossed with a woodgrain EF, then sanded it to expose the white core and I just glued that bench on top of the other bench - like a slip cover.  The heart is from Heat Pivot Card & the sentiment is from Lucy Label Pop-Up. The little flowers are from Butterfly Pivot Card & Butterfly Accessories - the wonderful thing about that flower is one die cuts the solid image & the other cuts the outline which is brilliant if you ask me - Karen has thought of everything when designing these dies to make it so easy to embellish.

I cut some hills from the Agatha Edge die & glued that behind the bench.  The little boy was stamped twice, colored & then put between the slats in the bench & used dimensionals to pop up his legs to make him look more like he's actually sitting "on" the bench.  His little fairy wings are cut from vellum & Wink of Stella glitter added to them.  If it were a girl...watch out here comes the glitter.

I hope you enjoyed this card as much as I enjoyed making it, let me tell you now that you'll be seeing many more of Pop It Ups to come.
These dies will be ready to ship to retailers right after CHA, so sk your local retailer to contact Elizabeth Craft Designs about carrying these in your craft store.  They will also be shipping to Canada & overseas.
Happy Stamping,
Raquel

Double Circle Card Thinlit

I cased this double Circle Card Thinlits from Glenda Calkins.  It's very fun, and it's a bit larger so I even made an envelope with my Envelope Punch Board.  To cut this card you simply cut your cardstock to 5 7/16 x 9 3/4 & cut the partial circles on both ends of your cardstock.  I used some of the dies in the set to decorate the rest of the card.  See those little chevrons?  They come in the set too &  I thought it would be cute using those to tell the recipient to open both sides.  To color the image & the sentiments, I used Stampin Write Markers directly to the stamp.

I die cut some balloons, attached white twine & adhered with Dimensionals.
Happy Stamping,
Raquel
