Karen Burniston's June Designer Challenge - What's in a name?

This month Karen Burniston's Design Team was challenged to use dies with our initials - hence the title "What's in a name?"  I chose Rocky the Crab (of course), Ring Accordion and the mask from Props 3.
I die cut Rocky from Whisper White that had Transparent Double Sided Adhesive Sheet already applied to it - basically creating a sticker so I can cover it with True Red Silk Microfine Glitter.  I also did the same with the little shells but covered it with Solar Gold & Cool Diamond.

I created the sentiment using Alphabet 1 and the shell from Rocky the Crab to say "Let's Shell-A-Brate".  Funny story, my son likes to tell me this joke "How does a crab celebrate his birthday?"  The answer of course is "He shell-a-brates".  He knows I love puns and jokes.

I used the Ring Frame Edges to create a glittery sun effect on the rings.  I stamped the sentiment using a Stampin' Up! set called Endless Birthday Wishes.
Stop by the Elizabeth Craft Designs' blog on Wednesday when Karen will have a video tutorial and a post of the entire teams' creations.

Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Crazy 4 Challenges C4C290 - Masculine

It's challenge time again with Crazy 4 Challenges.  The team was challenged to make a masculine card.  I found this super cute stamp set and pattern paper in my stash that's perfect for that little dude in your life.
I used Karen Burniston's Lorna Label for the sentiment.  I stamped the sneakers using Versamark and black embossing powder, colored with Stampin' Write Markers and fussy cut.

I used Lots of Pops to animate the Candles, sneakers and Lucy Label sentiment.  The sentiment is a new stamp set from Karen Burniston called Farm Greetings and I used my Stampin' Write Markers to ink up just the portion that I wanted.  Here's a tip: swipe an eraser over the stamp to get better adhesion from the Stampin' Write Markers.

Happy Stampin',

Crazy 4 Challenges C4C289 - Sunshine

It's challenge time again at Crazy 4 Challenges.  The team was challenged to add a little "Sunshine" to our cards.  This new set from Stampin' Up! called Sprinkles of Life is the perfect set for the challenge!
I used the Dots & Stripes Decorative Mask and Daffodil Delight ink to create the sun and rays.  I stamped the clouds onto Whisper White using Silver Encore ink  and Silver Embossing Powder then used the new Tree Builder Punch to punch them out.  I removed a few sequins from the Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim to add a bit of sparkly rain.

Hexagon Hive and Sprinkles of Life

I used the new Sprinkles of Life along with Hexagon Hive to make this quick and sparkly card.  I used my Stamp a ma jig to help position the little dots in between each hive.  I stamped with the new In Colors - Cucumber Crush, Watermelon Wonder and Tip Top Taupe.

Sprinkles of Life

Now available!  The new stamp set called Sprinkles of Life - I love this fun set!  I stamped the ice cream and cone onto Whisper White and watercolored using an aqua painter and Mint Macaroon, Delightful Dijon and Watermelon Wonder Classic Inks.  I used my heat tool to dry the images a bit, then punched out the ice cream using the new Tree Builder Punch.  You can make ice cream, cupcakes and trees all from this stamp set and coordinating punch.  I stamped the sentiment onto a die cut from Apothecary Accents and sponged with Mint Macaroon.
I added a strip of Sweet Sadie washi tape to the inside to coordinate with the front of my card.  The sentiment is from Endless Birthday Wishes - another fantastic birthday stamp set!
