Crazy 4 Challenges - Sketch

It's the 3rd Saturday of the month and that means it's sketch time with Crazy 4 Challenges.  My whole card started off by finding the eyeglasses and bow-tie already die cut in a bag of mine.  So I put my thinking cap on and started die cutting some more pieces to the face and the next thing I knew, my card was created!
I used Props 1, Virgil the Pig and Chilly the Penguin to create the face.  To make the nose, I used Virgil's negative area of his snout.  For the eyes, I used Virgil's for the blue and Chilly's for the white.  The sentiment is from Endless Birthday Wishes - a very fun Stampin' Up! set.

I kept the inside simple by repeating a portion of the face and stamping a funny sentiment from Bombs Away Birthday.

Here's a fun stamp set called Endless Birthday Wishes that has made it's way into the new Stampin' Up! catalog.

This card also features the new Square Framelits - LOVE THEM!  There are so many different sizes included in the new Square Framlits and is perfect for making frames too.  I used Party with Cake sentiment for the sentiment.

Crazy 4 Challenges - Show me the Blue

It's Saturday and that means it's time for Crazy 4 Challenges.  The team was challenged to Show me the Blue!  September's Birthstone is the sapphire so make blue the most prominent color of your card.

I found this monster paper in my stash & thought it looked very fun and had some BLUE!  I cut out one of the monsters for the front and die cut the word bubble from Karen Burniston's Accordion Rectangle.  The stamped sentiment is from a Stampin' Up! set called Endless Birthday Wishes - I love that set because it's so versatile.

I used the Lorna Label and 2 spinners from Rectangle Pull Card to help animate another monster & the sentiment.

Karen Burniston's June Designer Challenge - What's in a name?

This month Karen Burniston's Design Team was challenged to use dies with our initials - hence the title "What's in a name?"  I chose Rocky the Crab (of course), Ring Accordion and the mask from Props 3.
I die cut Rocky from Whisper White that had Transparent Double Sided Adhesive Sheet already applied to it - basically creating a sticker so I can cover it with True Red Silk Microfine Glitter.  I also did the same with the little shells but covered it with Solar Gold & Cool Diamond.

I created the sentiment using Alphabet 1 and the shell from Rocky the Crab to say "Let's Shell-A-Brate".  Funny story, my son likes to tell me this joke "How does a crab celebrate his birthday?"  The answer of course is "He shell-a-brates".  He knows I love puns and jokes.

I used the Ring Frame Edges to create a glittery sun effect on the rings.  I stamped the sentiment using a Stampin' Up! set called Endless Birthday Wishes.

Bravo & Endless Birthday Wishes

I made another card from my left over May Stamp Camp.....and here it is!  The base is Summer Starfruit stamped using Positively Chevron with Versamark, Vanilla Embossing Powder.  This created such a nice tone on tone look and it smells good too.  I used Bravo & Endless Birthday Wishes for the sentiment and Simply Stars for the accent star.

Endless Birthday Wishes

I had a left over kit from my May stamp camp so I repurposed one of the cards into this - totally different from its original card.  I got the new Photoploymer (clear) set called Endless Birthday Wishes and just couldn't wait to use it.
I stamped the cake three times and colored it with Watercolor Pencils.
