Crazy 4 Challenges - Thank You for Teacher

It's almost the end of the school year, kids are thrilled...ok maybe teachers are too.  The Crazy 4 Challenges team has the perfect teachers challenge this week.  Make a thank you card for a teacher.

I found the perfect pattern paper in my stash that has an all over apple pattern.  I used Stampin' Up!'s Owl Builder, Tree Builder and 1 3/4" Scallop punch to create the owl.  That little apple is included in the Tree Builder - perfect right?  I used several layers of the Greetings Thinlits die cuts to make the "Thanks" thicker.

I kept the inside simple and used the new Layering Square Framelits for my punny sentiment.  With the Little Letters Framelits I can create any sentiment I choose.

Crazy 4 Challenges - Say Goodbye to Summer

It's time for the Crazy 4 Challenges - Say Goodbye to Summer challenge.  Labor Day is here!  Time to say goodbye to Summer, be it one last BBQ, dive in the pool a parade or picnic.  How will you celebrate?  
I decided to celebrate kids going back to school and looking into the future knowing that I will be needing a Thank You card for my son's teacher....I combined all the ideas into a gift card holder for a teacher.

I used Elizabeth Craft Designs' Tags & More 6- Daisy die to make the popsicle and the drips are from the Ice Cream Cone die.  To make the sunglasses and smile, I used Karen Burniston's Props 1 and Rocky the Crab.  The stamped sentiment is from Stampin' Up!'s You've Got This.

The perfect die for the gift card is Karen Burniston's Sleigh with Gift Card Pop It Ups die.  As you can see it's not a sleigh but the Barn Pop Stand styled as a school.  The wonderful thing about the Pop It Ups dies is you can put almost anything on the pop up portion.  I used the decorator dies from Holiday House to decorate the school.  I stamped sentiment from A Dozen Thoughts onto a companion die from Holiday House - I chose that shape to act as a "look here" arrow. I even found some small lettered stickers in my stash to write "School".

Queen of the Universe

I was asked to make a thank you card for a teacher at my son's school.  I made the globe using Karen Burniston's Ring Accordion and Eiffel Tower Pop Stand.  The crown is from Elizabeth Craft Designs' Stocking Solid die.  I die cut the "Thank You" three times and adhered them together for added height.  The globe is computer generated colored using colored pencils.

I also decorated the envelope and inside of the card to match.

Crazy 4 Challenges - Teacher Appreciation

It's time to appreciate our teachers over at Crazy 4 Challenges this week.  Minions, they are too funny right?  I just love it and I know my son's teacher will love it too.  
I made the Minion shape using Elizabeth Craft Designs' Tags & More 3 - Leaves die.  To make the hair I used the whiskers from Karen Burniston's Whiskers the Cat.  The mouth and arms of the glasses are from the Ring Accordion.  Let's not forget that sweet bow tie from Four Bows.  I used various circle dies to create the eyes.

I used Little Letters Thinlits to create the sentiment with just enough room left for my son to sign his name.  I'm loving that holographic paper that I upcycled from some holiday packaging.
