Crazy 4 Challenges C4C273 - Amethyst Valentine

I made this card for a friend of mine who's a cat lover.  I was lucky enough for a customer of mine to give me some card bases that she wasn't going to use and this fab leopard print was in that stack.  Thanks very much Carol for the cardstock.

Green Monstermaniacs Pop It Ups

I am entering this card into the Spectrum Noir March "Green" Challenge.  I stamped the image from Monstermaniacs onto a Whisper White Sassy Label (Sizzix Pop N Cut) & colored with my Spectrum Noir Markers.  I added a little bit of Black Enamel Accents to the monster's eye. I stamped a sentiment from Just Sayin' onto Ballet Blue & used the Word Bubble Framelits to die cut it out.  My backing card is Gumball Green with some Just Add Cake DSP.  

I stamped another image from Monstermaniacs, colored with Spectrum Noir & fussy cut him out.  I used Karen Burniston's Lots of Pops to die cut the Ballet Blue base card.  The flagpoles & all banners are also in the Lots of Pops set - love that it all comes in one set.  I tied some twine to the flagpoles & used a small glue dot to adhere the banners to the twine.  I stamped a little heart from the Just Sayin' set with Tangerine Tango on the Sassy Label.  To die cut the edges on my base card, I nested the largest Sassy Label & the next smallest stitched label at the same time & ran it trough my Big Shot.

When I was using the Black Enamel Accents on this monster's eyes, the bottle spat out too much black so I tried to clean it up with a pin.  To get the little white in the eyes, I squirted some White Enamel Accents onto a scrap piece of paper & used the tip of a pin to drop the white in the center of the black.  I even stamped a little heart in the center banner - so cute!

The white Sassy Label is perfect for adding my signature.
