Crazy 4 Challenges - Birthday Card with Numbers

It's time for a birthday challenge with Crazy 4 Challenges.  I've challenged the team to make a birthday card and put numbers on it.  I admit that I have an ulterior motive for setting this challenge - it's my son Jake turns 12 next week!
So I set forth to search my stash for pattern paper with numbers and got busy creating.  He can climb trees like nobody's business and I used to say he can climb like a monkey.....hence the monkey stamp.

I used Karen Burniston's Katherine Label Pop Up to animate another monkey and the sentiment.  I also added another strip of the numbered patterned paper and made the "12" stand out by adding a star as I did on the front.
When the card opens fully, the sentiment panel and monkey move up to the top of the card!  It's so much fun and I love the up-side-down monkey with the googley eyes.
Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Brusho

I had this piece of Brusho piece in my stash for quite a while and now it's finally on a card.  To make the Brusho panel, I embossed a piece of water color paper using the Brick Wall embossing folder.  Then I misted the paper with water and sprinkled on Brusho.  I moved the paper around to get the color to move within the grooves of the brick pattern.  I added a die cut and the front is complete.
For the inside, I used Karen Burniston's Katherine Label Pop Up.  I stamped the presents from Happiest of Days onto a label - they're colored using Stampin' Blends.
Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Karen Burniston Paper Pros Challenge - Love

It's time for the Paper Pros challenge!  The theme of love was set by Caz Counsil.  I added a Woodland Character to my Brusho embossing background.  I sprinkled Brusho into the Honeycomb Embossing Folder, spritzed with water then ran it through my Big Shot.
As you can see a sneak peak of the character again when opening the card courtesy of the Katherine Label Pop Up.
I stamped this sentiment from Stampin' Up!'s Delightful Dozen onto a label and tucked the little character behing the label.  I'm sure anybody would be his/her valentine!
Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Crazy 4 Challenges - Make a Card

Today is World Card Making Day, so the Crazy 4 Challenges Design Team members are making cards of any design, any shape!

I had this piece of inked paper laying around so that was my starting point.  To make the paper, I used Rich Razzelberry, Pumpkin Pie, and Daffodil Delight Classic Ink Pads.  I smeared each color ink onto my craft mat, spritzed with water and dragged the paper through all the ink.  I stamped a sentiment from Five for All onto a Katherine Label die cut.
The inside is very simple (as you can see).

Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Crazy 4 Challenges - International Tiger Day

It's time for the Crazy 4 Challenges International Tiger Day challenge.  The team members are to create a card using orange, black and white in honor of International Tiger Day.
I found this pattern paper in my stash and it had just the right colors.  I am loving my new stamp set called Five for All from Stampin' Up!  I stamped the image on a Katherine Label die cut from Karen Burniston.
For the inside, I used the Katherine Label Pop Up and die cut (2) arms to make a double pop up!  One has the sentiment and the other has several balloons that I punched out using Balloon Bouquet punch from Stampin' Up!
Here's a view from the side so you can see how both of the arms open.  One thing to keep in mind if you're going to use (2) arms is put them far enough apart so they don't get caught up on each other when opening the card.
Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Crazy 4 Challenges - Hammock Day

The Crazy 4 Challenges team members are creating cards with the theme of relaxation.  So I ask you, who wouldn't be smiling at this sweet little piggy image?  He's relaxing walking through the grass holding a flower.
I stamped the pig from Stampin' Up!'s stamp set called This Little Piggy onto Blushing Bride card stock and fussy cut him out.  I did add a little bit of Blushing Bride Stampin' Write Marker to the ears and snout.  I used Karen Burniston's Katherine Label Pop Up die set to die cut the sentiment.
Look at how much fun This Little Piggy is having!  The Katherine Label lifts up to reveal the balloons.  I used Nature Edges for the grass and edges.

Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Katherine Label Pop Up

Here's another of Karen Burniston's new dies called Katherine Label Pop Up.  I followed the same design as shown on the packaging.  It's simple to follow and has such a fun element of surprise when you open the card.
When you open the card, the "Thanks" pops up and hovers on the right side of the card.  The Katherine Label Die would be great to use just for the decorative labels on flat cards.
Happy Stampin',
Raquel
