Elizabeth Craft Designs' July Design Team Challenge - Stand Up Helpers

The Elizabeth Craft Designs' Design Team was challenged to make a card using any of their Stand Up Helpers.  I decided to use the newly released  Stand Up Helpers Set 2 for my card along with Peel-Off stickers for my main image.

Place the Peel-Off sticker on white card stock that has Double Sided Adhesive on it, cover with Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter then color with markers.  Coloring on glitter is really fun!  Here's a video from Els showing how to color on Silk Microfine Glitter.  From green card stock, cut 2 Stand Up Helpers and 1 Thinking of You Stand Up Helper and cut them away from excess card stock as shown.

To use the negative image of the Peel-Off Sticker you will need a Transfer Sheet - you can  just barely see it in the photo - burnish the pieces to the Transfer Sheet and then stick the pieces to your project.  I use a bone folder to help stick the pieces to the Transfer Sheet and to stick the pieces down on my project.  Here's a video from Els, showing how to use Transfer Sheets.

Here you can see that I have the whole image on the Transfer Sheet and ready to put on my project.  When transferring, slowly lift up the Transfer Sheet to make sure all the pieces are sticking to your project, if they aren't, then burnish again with a bone folder.

Viola, now I have all the pieces on my project.  Place Gold Border Lines around the edges, use Dimensionals to adhere the leaf.  Cover the Stand Up Helpers on base card with the green Helpers that you had cut.  Finish the card by adhering the rest of the items to your card.

Elizabeth Craft Designs May Designer Challenge - Flat A2 card

The Elizabeth Craft Designs' Design Team members were challenged to make a flat A2 sized card using Peel-Offs or any of their dies.  I chose to use Jackie's Doll Peel-Offs to make a reposition able cling for my neighbor who will be graduating  5th grade.
To frame the image, I used Karen Burniston's Oval Dots Frame Edges.  This particular die is meant to be used on her Accordion dies, but you can use it on its own just like I have by die cutting 4 of the frames & putting them together on a 4 x 4 piece of cardstock.

Here's some of the pieces I used to create this card.  To make the reposition able cling, you  will need a Transfer Sheet, Double Sided Adhesive & a Peel-Off.  Els has a wonderful video on this technique.  Basically you would cut a piece of Double Sided Adhesive and  Transfer Sheet large enough to fit your image then stick the Double Sided Adhesive onto the Transfer Sheet. Next, remove the release sheet and lay your Peel-Off sticker onto the release sheet sticky side up, then lay your Double Sided Adhesive piece on the top.  Then cover with Silk Microfine Glitter, shake off excess and polish with your finger.  Now you are ready to color and cut out.  When you remove the backing from the Transfer Sheet, you'll have your cling!  It's really cool and you should try it out.
What I really like about Jackie's Dolls Peel-Offs is that they also have little accessory pieces to layer on top for extra dimension.  For example the bow, bodice & headband as pictured above.

I added a few of the circles to the inside of the card - these are clings too!

Elizabeth Craft Designs April Challenge - Elegant & White

The Elizabeth Craft Designs' Design Team challenge for April was to create an elegant white card, we were able to use gold or silver accents.  Hmmmm let me think, I don't think I have ever done an all white card.  I like bold colors & glitter and I was so tempted to color on the White Iridescent Shimmer Sheetz.......but I could not for this challenge......maybe next time.
My card base is A2 sized with a piece of White Iridescent Shimmer Sheetz embossed with Curvy Leaves embossing folder & then sanded.  I used Silver/Silver Border Peel-Off Stickers around the Shimmer Sheetz.  I have not put a sentiment on this card yet, I don't know for what occasion to use it for just yet.
Here's the die cut pieces of my card.

I decided not to use all of the leaves & flower centers that I had cut.  I wanted to show you 3 different ways to use the Daisy die.  From the left: these are the overlay die cut from Whisper White, 2 flower center pieces that were cut from Whisper White that had Double Sided Adhesive & Warm Diamond silk Microfine Glitter, underlay covered in Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter, the middle flower is covered in Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter but the pieces are not poked out of the overlay & finally an underlay cut from Whisper White.

Assemble your flowers & place them on your card.  I love getting different looks from the same die, just by changing how I put them together.

I've got another Elizabeth Craft Designs glitter project for you.  Do you love glitter?  I know I sure do.  SO let's get some Silk Microfine Glitter out & let's get to it.
For the front of my card I used Flourish with Flowers to create an inlay, meaning it's set into my card & not glued on top of my card.  I die cut the Flourish with Flowers into my patterned paper & set the die cut aside - don't throw it away as you'll be needed little pieces from it.  I adhered Double Sided Adhesive to white card stock & die cut another Flourish with Flowers from that.  I also cut some labels from Lucy Label for my sentiment, I've added white gel pen around the green Lucy Label & even glittered hearts inlaid on the white Lucy Label.  The Ladybugs are cut from Black Velvet Adhesive Sheets & white covered with Double Sided Adhesive & Cool Silk Microfine Glitter colored with Spectrum Noir markers.  To finish off the front, I added some pink seam binding.


What you see in this photo is how I added the Fuchsia Silk Microfine Glitter by cutting the release sheet off ONLY on the two flowers.  I then dipped the flowers into the Fuchsia Silk Microfine Glitter, shook off the excess & gently polished with my finger.

Here I have removed the rest of the release sheet & applied Spring Peridot Silk Microfine Glitter all over, shook off the excess & polished gently with my finger.  So now I am ready to put my flower into the opening of my patterned paper.  Put Double Sided Adhesive or clear packing tape on the back side of the patterned paper to cover the opening, turn your paper over to the patterned side & inlay your die cut into the shape.  Now you will get the patterned paper die cut that you set aside & use tweezers to put all the little negative pieces back in their respective places....kind of like a puzzle.

I used Lucy Label to animate my sentiment & Lady Bugs Peel-Off Stickers & Lady Bugs die cuts.  I cut another Flourish with Flowers from Peridot Shimmer Sheetz to give my lady bugs something to crawl on.  To  hide the seams where the patterned paper & green meet, I used Transparent Glitter/Gold Glitter Peel-Off Stickers.

And finally a close up of all the glittery goodness that Silk Microfine Glitter can bring.
