Queen of the Universe

I was asked to make a thank you card for a teacher at my son's school.  I made the globe using Karen Burniston's Ring Accordion and Eiffel Tower Pop Stand.  The crown is from Elizabeth Craft Designs' Stocking Solid die.  I die cut the "Thank You" three times and adhered them together for added height.  The globe is computer generated colored using colored pencils.
I also decorated the envelope and inside of the card to match.

Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Birthday Cake

I love cake and who doesn't?  I die cut 2 Happy Birthday sentiments from Karen Burniston's Happy Birthday Pop Up, one in Basic Gray and one in Crushed Curry to create the drop shadow effect.  I also used Candles from Elizabeth Craft Designs - a die that I have been coveting for a long time and finally gave in.
I made the cake from a 2 x 2.25 piece of pattern paper and the frosting was created using Beach Edges.  I adhered the frosting to the square and used a corner rounder and added a shortened candle.  I used the Eiffel Tower Pop Stand as a cake stand and the top of the tower helps support my candle.  The cake is the perfect size to add the recipients age.
I used Paris Edges to create 2 scallops for each end of the card.
Here's a close up of the super fun Birthday Cake Tower!
I hope you have enjoyed my card.

Karen Burniston's January Desinger Challenge - 3 or more.... Bone Jour

It's Karen Burniston's Designer Challenge time again!  This month, Karen challenged the team to use 3 different categories of dies on one card.  Challenge acknowledged & accepted!
I used Paris Edges & Props 4 on the front of my card.  I sponged some edges & used metallic rubs on the tower.

I used some metallic rubs on the Garden Bench & Eiffel Tower to make them look more rustic.  I used Paris Edges again on the inside of my card.  The tag is from Tag Pivot Card and I used Elizabeth Craft Designs' Alphabet die to create the words.
I shortened the tower to fit inside my card & added bones to each tier.  I created Buster's beret using the food bowl from Props 4 & the bowler hat from Props 1.
Remember to click on over to the Elizabeth Craft Designs' blog tomorrow to see a video from Karen and see all the other DT's projects too.

Happy Crafting,
Raquel
