Spectrum Noir challenge - Summer

This months' challenge at Spectrum Noir is Summer.  I picture Summer as kids playing outside late & having lots of fun....well doing things that kids do.  Jake wanted a skate board so badly and he was lucky enough to get one for Christmas.
I used Karen Burniston's Happy Birthday Pop Up for the script "Birthday" and  Little Letters Thinlits from Stampi' Up! for the "Dude".

I used a new stamp set from Stampin' Up! called Skating By for the images.  I colored them with Spectrum Noir alcohol based markers.  I used Lots of Pops to create the fun Summery scene filled with trees stamped with Hardwood and cut out using All Seasons Tree.
I stamped the sentiment (included in the set) onto a decorator Lucy Label.
Here's a close up of the cool dude himself.  For the fun texture on his shirt, I used rubbing alcohol and an old piece of jeans and blotted the T-shirt.  I masked off the image and stamped the Hardwood onto the skateboard.
You can see how I attached the dude and the trees to all the bumps on the Lots of Pops.  The Lots of Pops die is a fantastic die to animate almost anything!
Happy Stampin',
Raquel
