We Must Celebrate

I am using several new items from the Occasions catalog on my card today - click here to view the catalog.  I am really having fun playing with Brusho.  I made this card for my animal-loving co-worker.  I sprayed Whisper White with spray starch, sprinkled on the Brusho and watched the magic happen.  Whilst wet, I placed a piece of plastic wrap over the top and set it aside to dry.

When my piece dried, I stamped these cute critters from We Must Celebrate stamp set using Versamark, covered with black embossing powder and then heat set.  I used Stampin' Writer Markers and a white gel pen to color them.  I punched a balloon using the Balloon Bouquet Punch and adhered using a dimensional.

I used the sentiments from the set to stamp on the inside.  I adhered Whisper White to both sides on the inside to give more room for my co-workers to sign the card.  Since the card is 4 1/4 x 6, I custom made an envelope using the Envelope Punch Board.

Crazy 4 Challenges - Opposite Day

The Crazy 4 Challenges team members are celebrating "Opposite Day".  We're making a card/project that has opposites on it.  Think opposite colors, stripes and polka dots, black and white, mirror image etc.
I have been playing with Brusho a lot lately and I used the Dots and Stripes Stencil to make this card.  I placed the dots stencil on top of my craft mat,  sprinkled on some Brusho, spritzed with water and then laid a piece of Whisper White on top.  I then rolled my brayer over the top to ensure even coverage.

After my piece dried, I embossed Birthday Wishes for You and colored in using Daffodil Delight and Wild Wasabi Stampin' Writer Markers.  I also added a piece of True Gentlemen DSP from the new Occasions catalog.

Party Pandas fun fold

When you fully open the card you see even more pandas!  The great thing about these images are that they are so adorable and there's not much coloring.  I stamped the confetti image (included in the set) with Daffodil Delight Classic Ink.

Crazy 4 Challenges - Sketch

It's the third Saturday of the month and that means it's sketch time with Crazy 4 Challenges.

I stamped this adorable panda from Stampin' Up!'s new stamp set called Party Pandas from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.  Isn't he adorable?  I added a bit of washi tape, a glittery circle and a starburst.  I used a ruler and a journaling pen to trace lines around the panda.

Crazy 4 Challenges - Rubber Duckie Day

The Crazy 4 Challenges team are celebrating Rubber Duckie Day today with ducks on our cards.  If we don't have a duck think chickens, geese, turkeys, etc......well I have really stretched it to a squirrel.

I wanted to try out my Brusho color crystals again and use a new stamp set called We Must Celebrate.  I stamped the tree from Sheltering Tree and the squirrel onto watercolor paper.  I put a scrap piece of paper over the squirrel and sprinkled the crystals onto the top area of the tree.  I used my aquapainter to color some green in the grass area.

Karen Burniston Paper Pros - Tag You're It

It's time for Karen Burniston's Tag You're It challenge.  The team are to use tags in our creation today.  That's a very achievable challenge when you have a very fun die like Tag Book Pop Up.

 I used a new stamp set from Stampin' Up! called Hedgehugs for the front image and sentiment.  To get the black on his quills, after inking up the image with Chocolate Chip I used a Black Stampin' Write Marker to color just the ends and then stamped.

I adhered the Tagbook Pop Up into a 4 1/4 x 11 card base.  I stamped some more hedgehogs and fussy cut them out and adhered them to the tags.
